GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL POLICY

1. PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS

1.1. Hireinst ("we", "us", "our") is committed to addressing complaints promptly and fairly. This Grievance Redressal Policy explains how to raise a complaint, who handles it, and the timelines within which we respond.

2.2. The Grievance Officer is our point of contact for complaints under the laws listed in Clause 1.2, including complaints about content, conduct, privacy/data, billing, and verification.

5. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND RESOLUTION TIMELINES

We apply the following timelines, and where more than one applies to a complaint, we act to meet the stricter applicable timeline:

5.5. Where a complaint is complex or requires information from you or a third party, we will keep you informed and resolve it as quickly as reasonably possible within the applicable timelines.


6. HOW WE HANDLE A GRIEVANCE

6.1. On receipt, we: (a) acknowledge the grievance; (b) review and assess it (including through human review, as described in the Content Moderation Policy); (c) take appropriate action; and (d) communicate the outcome to you where appropriate.

6.2. We handle grievances fairly and confidentially, sharing information only as necessary to resolve the matter or as required by law.


7. ESCALATION AND EXTERNAL REMEDIES

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate as follows, depending on the nature of your grievance:

7.1. Content decisions — Grievance Appellate Committee(s). For grievances concerning our decisions on content or accounts under the IT Intermediary Rules, 2021, you may appeal to the relevant Grievance Appellate Committee constituted by the Central Government, in the manner and within the timelines prescribed under those Rules. This is in addition to your right to approach a court.

7.2. Data-protection matters — Data Protection Board of India. For grievances about your personal data, if you remain dissatisfied after contacting our Grievance Officer, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, in the manner prescribed.

7.3. Consumer matters — Consumer Commissions. You may approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (District, State, or National) under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and/or the National Consumer Helpline.

7.4. Courts. Subject to the dispute-resolution provisions of the Terms of Service (including arbitration seated at Hyderabad), the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction as described there. Nothing in this Policy limits any statutory remedy available to you.


8. MISUSE OF THE GRIEVANCE PROCESS

8.1. The grievance process must be used in good faith. Filing false, malicious, frivolous, or repetitive complaints, impersonating another person, or providing false information is itself a violation of our Terms and may lead to action under the Content Moderation Policy, and to the complaint being closed.


9. RECORDS

9.1. We maintain records of grievances and their resolution for the periods required by Applicable Law, for the purposes of compliance, audit, investigation, and appeals.

10.1. We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified where appropriate. If the designated Grievance Officer changes, we will update the details published here.
